Collegiate Conference 2022

Winsome

A Winsome Gospel, A Winsome People

The gospel is an attractive, pleasing, and engaging message. It offers grace, hope, purpose, and peace, characterized by innocence, purity, and simplicity. Despite its profound complexity and the immense cost to Christ, the gospel invites us into a relationship with God through childlike faith.

When embraced and lived out, the gospel transforms lives, making its followers truly winsome. This transformation is evident and appealing, drawing others toward the message of Christ.

Join us for a three-day conference as we explore what it means to live as a winsome people. We will discuss how we can embody this winsome message as campus missionaries and bring its transformative power to our college campuses, which are in desperate need of such a compelling and hopeful message.

Let’s strive together to be a winsome people, living out the beauty of the gospel in our everyday lives.

Laurie Krieg is a teacher, podcaster, and author with a mission to equip the Church with a gospel-centered approach to marriage and sexuality. Laurie has a master’s in evangelism and leadership from Wheaton Graduate School, and she serves as a founding board member for The Center for Faith, Sexuality & Gender. Laurie and her husband, Matt, are the co-hosts of the Hole in My Heart Podcast, and co-authors of An Impossible Marriage (IVP 2020). The couple live in West Michigan with their three kids.

The Heart of the LGBTQIA Conversation: Part 1

If we do not lay a biblical, heart-transformative foundation in our lives first, loving our LGBTQIA neighbors can fall flat. Using over ten years of ministry experience, Laurie Krieg will teach foundational beliefs that do not guarantee a successful interaction, but can perhaps remove some barriers so that our LGBTQIA neighbors can experience more of Jesus’ transformative love.

The Heart of the LGBTQIA Conversation: Part 2

Building on the foundations laid in Part 1, Laurie Krieg will teach more practical care in reaching out to and loving our LGBTQIA neighbors from a heart like Jesus’.

How to Persevere When the World Says “Give Up”

What is the secret to staying in challenging conversations without becoming burnt out, bitter, or apathetic? Author and teacher Laurie Krieg, who has been in the sexuality conversation for over ten years, will teach us what she has learned in the trenches.

Let’s Process with Laurie Krieg

After hearing from Laurie, it’s time for dialogue. Bring your practical questions to this workshop to pick her brain and hear her heart on how to engage your biggest questions about anything she has covered.
