Collegiate Leadership

Compelled

“And now, compelled by the Spirit…” — Acts 20:22–24

Paul was compelled forward into real risk for the sake of the kingdom. Not reckless risk, but Spirit-led, mission-focused, obedience-driven risk. The gospel has always moved forward when leaders were willing to step into uncertainty, sacrifice comfort, and trust God with outcomes they could not control.

This year we will wrestle with the role of risk in advancing the kingdom. How does risk move the gospel forward? Where are we called to risk in leading our churches, engaging our campuses, and multiplying laborers? What risks are faithful, and which ones are simply reaction or fear?

As we gather at Texas A&M, one of the largest agriculture universities in the country, we are reminded that every harvest requires risk. Farmers sow seed into soil they cannot control, trusting that what is planted faithfully will produce life in time. Kingdom leadership works the same way. The question is not whether risk exists, but whether we are willing to sow when outcomes are not guaranteed.

Leadership Conference is a space to step back, think clearly, and align as teams around where God is calling us to move with courage. Through shared learning, honest conversations, and strategic planning, we will work on our churches together, using data, collaboration, and relationships to help us see where we are and faithfully step into what is next.

May we all be compelled this year.
