What makes a missionary? It's not living a perfect life or becoming a pastoral superstar or even being doctrinally profound. Missionaries are those who are willing to step out in faith and follow the call of God. In this sense, they are ordinary people.
Yet this step takes big and risky faith. These ordinary people give up what the world calls good—safety or comfort or personal acclaim—for the good news of Jesus Christ. For the mission, they are losing their life for His sake (Luke 9:24). And that's extraordinary.
In 2015, you partnered with us to support over 500 extraordinary individuals and their families living on mission. As we celebrate all that God has done through Reliant in 2015, we wanted to share stories of just a few.

Ali serves marginalized women in East Africa through a reconciliation-focused social enterprise called Amani ya Juu, which means "Peace from Above" in Swahili. She is passionate to see Christ's love and healing power renew women's lives holistically through Bible study, fellowship and trade.
See Her ProfileOver 83% of all new recurring gifts were started online last year. Did you know that if you select to give by Bank Account online, it also saves on fees? That means more of what you give goes straight to the ministry of the missionary you support!
As you know, GCM has now become Reliant Mission, Inc. Though our name has changed, our commitment to the highest standards of integrity both financially and in governance remains steadfast.
Our Christian board of directors, along with our audit review committee, provides strong leadership and accountability for Reliant management. And through our gracious donors, God supplies the needed resources for this ministry.
Reliant continues to provide exceptional missionary administrative support at an average of 10 percent administrative costs on gifts provided by our ministry partners.
As always, our 2015 financial records were audited by Capin Crouse, LLP, a national leader in nonprofit accounting. Their 2015 audit report is available upon request.
Transforming the name GCM to Reliant has sparked a renewed commitment and excitement for what God will do in this next chapter. It is simple. It is purposeful. It is powerful.
