2019 marks 30 years of service for Reliant. This milestone was reached because of you and countless others who have faithfully invested in the work of the Kingdom. Thank you. We are humbled and exceedingly grateful for your partnership and support.
When Reliant was founded in 1989 as Great Commission Ministries (GCM), no one could have dreamed all that God would do through us and for us on this journey to live out the Great Commission and spread the good news of Jesus Christ to the nations. The ministry started with a vision to serve a group of churches planted on college campuses, now Reliant missionaries serve in 184 various churches and ministries and in 19 countries.
We know this growth would not have been possible without the commitment of our missionaries, donors, church partners, board, Central Team staff, and more. Romans 12:4-5 says, "For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." As I reflect on the last 30 years of Reliant, I'm thankful for the reminder we belong to each other, in Christ, as we work on His mission together. In the past few years, and particularly in 2019, we've seen heightened growth in our church-based residency and intern programs. When churches first began to approach us looking for help with these programs, it required a pivot-point in a number of our systems and internal functions to accommodate this expansion. It has been incredible to watch how God has laid the framework that has enabled us to quickly scale-up to meet the needs of mobilizing so many men and women for His Kingdom.
Through both peaceful and trying times, your faithfulness in supporting the mission of mobilizing missionaries for the Great Commission has been incredible. We are so grateful to partner alongside each one of you in the work of the Gospel!
Thank you for being a part of the Reliant family. We look forward to seeing what the next 30 years hold!

Programs with a fixed term (usually one or two years) saw continued growth as churches realized their value for training and equipping the next generation of ministry leaders. We went from 86 fixed term missionaries at the end of 2018 to 120 at the end of 2019. A number of these young men and women decide to stay on with Reliant in a full-time ministry role upon completion of the program.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to all of our generous donors and our thankfulness for your faithful partnership with Reliant Mission. For the past 30 years, God has graciously supplied the needed resources for this Ministry through all of you. We want you to know, that we never take this generous provision for granted. The ministry of Reliant continues to grow and expand its mission because of our loyal ministry partners.

As we look to the next thirty years, we believe the key to our future is a focused commitment to the principles and values that brought us to today:
Serving the Church - Reliant partners with missional Churches, knowing that God has called the Church to be the hope of the world. This appears in many forms and stages from church planting to maturation. Looking ahead, Reliant will remain aligned with the mission of the Church around the world, with a focus of working with those churches and missionaries who are among the least-reached.
Mobilizing Missionaries - Our Missionaries are the next generation of leaders; often starting in ministry through intern and training programs. In this way, Reliant is part of an ever-expanding multiplying of the Gospel through the generations.
Inspiring Confidence - As an agency, we are committed to stewarding, with great care, God's people and resources, ensuring we are faithful with all we have been entrusted with.
