In response to government recommendations, our Reliant Central team is working remotely until further notice. We are expecting minimal disruptions for our missionaries, donors and partners, but appreciate your extra patience during this time. Our prayers are with those affected.
About

Who is Reliant?

We were born in 1989 as a mission support agency for a small group of campus church planters. A lot's changed since then! (Less stonewashed jeans, for one).

Today we mobilize church planters and missionaries across like-minded missional groups and church-planting networks. As we've expanded our partnerships, we've adopted a new name. Yet our devotion to Jesus' command to "Go and make disciples..." remains. It's who we are.

I love Reliant because: I work alongside and serve amazing people, who are wonderful examples of Christ to our world.
A favorite scripture of mine is:  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.
My mother shared this verse with me at a young age and has prayed this verse over my life so it holds very special meaning to me.
I spend my free time: I am a wife and mom of 2 terrific kids. In my free time we are usually outdoors enjoying the beautiful Florida sunshine (except in the summer, June-August we hibernate inside in our house with the cool AC).
Right this minute I'm probably: Looking at spreadsheets with lots of numbers on them (this is fun for me though - I'm a math nerd).

I am responsible for…

I make sure Reliant's day to day payroll, benefits, and other employment functions are running smoothly. I reconcile the payment of all our insurance bills, 401K retirement contributions, HSA contributions and payroll taxes. I work alongside an amazing team of administrative and customer service superstars to ensure the highest standards of accuracy, accountability and transparency go into everything we process and oversee.

I lead today because…

I started as a campus missionary at the University of Missouri with the Collegiate Church Network. I was a student in the ministry while in college and my life was transformed. Upon graduating, I had a strong heart to mentor young women and lead mission trips. After a few years in campus ministry, my heart for reaching the world lead me to the Reliant office in 2003 to serve as a Short-term Missions Coordinator. I served in the mission department for about a year and a half and then transitioned to the Reliant finance department. I started out as the payroll coordinator and worked my way up to the role of Finance manager. I loved working in the finance dept and served there many years, until Reliant's growth revealed a need for a new department specifically focused on providing payroll and benefits to an expanding number of missionaries. I have always loved the payroll process from my first days in the finance dept and over the years I had worked closely with the HR team on the processing of benefits. Therefore, it was an exciting challenge to lead a new team called Employment Services and take over the day to management of our employment and benefits functions, while continuing to oversee the monthly payroll processes and accountable reimbursement plan.
I have a BS in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. My favorite classes in college were accounting classes, which serves me well in my current role, as I do a lot of reconciliation and looking at the numbers behind our processes.

I am motivated by…

I've been involved in this ministry for over 20 years, and have a deep connection to the personal lives and ministries of the missionaries I serve. I love hearing stories of how God is using them in their areas of calling. It inspires me every day knowing that that the work I do ensures these amazing men and women of faith can rely on Reliant for their ministry's administrative support system.
