AMR Story: Jamie & Greg Stuckey

We live in a broken world. Pain is everywhere, and heart wounds abound. Grief, rejection, abuse, times of war, refugee conditions, trafficking… the list of causes is nearly endless. The only real hope in this world is found in Christ. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted” and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18) The local church worldwide is charged with the task of taking this very hope into these places of hurt.  For that reason, it is our privilege to be part of equipping the church and mission organizations with tools for the task.  We take practical and spiritual principles combined with artistic expression to reach hearts. We represent the Trauma Healing Institute in this process. God has opened doors around the world, sometimes in the most surprising ways.  A key facet of our ministry is developing leaders to serve in their local context. While we primarily serve internationally, we are happy to offer training in North America.  We all are impacted by trauma, whether directly or indirectly. It seems to us that trauma ministry today has arisen “for such a time as this,” as we note in the book of Esther. We serve in preparing indigenous workers with theological training and micro-finance opportunities. We have been in full-time mission work for nearly thirty years, just coming to Reliant over two years ago.  Reliant has served us well by providing support, encouragement, and accountability, allowing us to focus on the most important thing… serving Christ wholeheartedly.
