The board of directors for Reliant Mission has made the following two membership changes.

Mr. Dan Benson

Reliant thanks Dan Benson for his six (12/12/2008 to 12/31/14) years of service on the board of directors. Dan served on the Executive Management Committee, the Strategic Planning Committee, and the Compensation Committee during his term. An experienced business leader and Christian philanthropist, he often touted GCM / Reliant as an example for other Christian nonprofits in the areas of financial accountability structures.

Dan steps off the board effective December 31, 2014, to focus on a number of other Christian endeavors where he provides leadership. He continues as the COO of the American Senior Communities in Indiana. Reliant is thankful for Dan’s strong engagement, generosity, and humble service.

Mr. Greg Guevara

Effective January 1, 2015, Greg Guevara, J.D. has moved to an emeritus role on the Reliant board of directors. 

Greg has served in significant leadership capacity for Great Commission Ministries. He was employed by the missions agency in 1999 as Development Director and Legal Counsel, and later transitioned into the role of Managing Director overseeing GCM’s office services. In 2006, Greg transitioned executive responsibility to GCM’s current Executive Director, while continuing to serve as chairman beginning from 2007 to 2013. Greg been a consistent voice for financial integrity and faithfulness to our mission. After a long history under the name Great Commission Ministries, Greg also led the board of directors in launching a new era for the agency under the new name RELIANT, which becomes effective in 2015.

Greg continues as a Partner with Bose, McKinney, Evans in Indianapolis. Reliant is grateful to Greg for his leadership and faithful service and lasting impact on our mission.

The Reliant board of directors is composed of Christian leaders who provide oversight and governance for our mission to mobilize missionaries for the Great Commission. For additional prudence and integrity, Reliant Management, including the Executive Director, are not voting members of the board.
