Specific salaries vary widely depending on the level of experience of the pastor or missionary, the scope of their responsibility, the norms for their church or ministry, and cost of living adjustments for different parts of the country.

Let's be honest—nobody chooses a career as a fulltime missionary to get rich!  While our faithful workers will not make grand amounts of money, Reliant has a strong value on our missionaries and pastors being paid a fair wage to support their family while they share the gospel. Biblically, we note Paul's instructions that those who are doing spiritual work do deserve a fair wage (1 Tim 5:18), which also follows the example in the old testament of Levites who had spiritual duties and so were supported by other tribes in Israel.

Under this biblical guidance, missionaries receive a monthly salary that has been calculated and approved by Reliant Missionary Resources in partnership with the local church or ministry, and within the approved appropriate range set by the Reliant board of directors. Missionaries do not determine their own salary.
