Donors who want to count their gift as a tax deduction in the current year may give online until 11:59 PM on December 31. These gifts are instant and secure.
Gifts sent by mail must be dated and postmarked no later than December 31. As long as they are postmarked and dated not later than December 31, Reliant is generally able to put gifts on the books through about January 15 (this date may vary based on the accounting requirements of the year). Gifts that are dated earlier, but have no accompanying postmark must be booked when they are received.
