How to Give

Are my gifts used for missionary retirement?

They certainly can be. Gifts toward a ministry fund go to fund all the needs of that ministry, including salary, medical insurances, and ministry expenses. Missionaries may also enroll in our 401k retirements savings plan, which we strongly encourage to be prudent about the future. We have found that many missions agencies who started with much zeal didn't do a good job of teaching their missionaries to prepare for the future and now have found themselves challenged on how to care for elderly missionaries who have given their life in service.

Reliant isn't yet old enough to face this challenge, and the average age of our missionaries remains one of the youngest in the Christian world. However, seeking wisdom we have chosen to encourage our missionaries to save for the future even as they put their entire heart into the work of the gospel today.
